C | 弥漫其间的是徐勇民对当代艺术持之以恒的坚守和在缝隙间不经意流露出的内敛的才情以及笃定、顽强不屈的对风云变幻思潮的抵抗。“当轻松自如的表现手法正在被撕裂”，取而代之的日复一日的劳作看似不经心，但绝对不是随意，的的确确倾注着的是创作者经年累月的思绪与挥之不去难以忘怀的对社会现实和艺术人生的真诚思考和激情表达。由此，扑面而来的是视觉图景中所散发出的那种令阅读者晕眩的魅力：线条的恣意纵横、游走穿插、叠加叠映，变异出一个个充满着呼吸般缝隙的、墨色交织、变异变动的视觉图景。在缝隙间，不仅仅是一种不厌其烦、不辞辛苦、不止不休、不断重复的日常书写和对无聊、无耐与无望的抗争，更表述着一种孤寂、孤独与忧伤及对不确定未来的迷茫与憧憬，当然，也寄寓着他的那种难以诉说的善与执着。

D | 他的画繁简相宜，疏密得当，无拘无束，流动真情，随心随性中，出新意于法度之中，有意无意间又能寄妙理于豪放之外，营构出一种“法度中的狂欢”的视觉图景，在看似随意的涂抹穿行中，亦有着耐看与细品的生动细节，远视茫茫，近视苍苍，其势其质扑面而来，亦真亦幻、似有似无、情真意切、虚实相映的挥洒中，流露出徐勇民藏匿已久的率真、率性与真诚真情。无叙事无意义。其作品中，松的挺拔、坚韧不屈与顽强的品格以一种风起云涌般的态势滚滚袭来，使阅读者自觉不自觉陷入了徐勇民精心编织的线的图景中，浑浑然跌入墨色的氤氲氛围里。其笔线墨色、块面线条纷纭变幻，但结构秩序井然，繁复中透露着简洁，散乱中亦不乏整一。思想的流动，伴随着笔线墨色的激情跳跃而酣畅淋漓，变异出一个个令阅读者惊奇的视觉图景。

E | 这不是一种漫无目的的自由挥洒与情感宣泄，但它的确又是一种真情的自然流露，散发出的是一种当代的情理与韵致，是从传统中走出又超越传统的一种当代表达，亦是传统文化在迈向现代性的过程中和当代社会相适应，和当代文明相协调，进而实现了传统文化的创造性转换和创新性发展。徐勇民在繁复的激情挥洒中找寻到了一种持之以恒的精神；在线、墨、色块的交织缠绕、叠加、叠映中，决出了自我的真诚、真情及难以隐匿的才情。他粗犷深芜、砥砺奋进的气度令阅读者难忘，一次次感染、侵袭着每一个走进其图景中的阅读者。尺幅间的视觉彰显，是徐勇民的底气、底色，缝隙间的才情流动更是对未来的笃定与守望。这是对自由的呼唤，亦是对自由的渴望，更是进入了一种随心所欲不逾矩的迷人之境。变异之景，再造之境。
